WHAT HAPPENED?
The 30-year-old defender, who has captained the Lionesses during the injury-enforced absence of Leah Williamson, has jetted off to Mauritius with her fiancee Levi Crew – with the pair having announced their engagement on December 26. Bright has been able to head for white sand and crystal clear water in the Indian Ocean as she has no club commitments at present.

Defending WSL champions Chelsea will not be back in action until facing London rivals West Ham in the FA Women’s Cup fourth round on January 14. That is giving Bright and Co an opportunity to recharge their batteries at the start of 2024.
